Urinary tract infections are very common and affect children worldwide. What exactly is a urinary tract infection? It is when the bladder and the kidneys are inflamed. It is usually caused by bacteria moving up the urethra and into the bladder. Some common symptoms include fever, frequent or urgent urination, lower abdominal pain, and irritability.
